Energy Policy

We continue to produce and create value with 2 sectors and nearly 1,000 employees

Purpose

This policy has been prepared to ensure that Güven Boya continuously improves its energy performance, increases energy efficiency, and achieves its sustainable production goals within the scope of its yarn manufacturing activities.

Scope

This energy policy covers:

  • Our existing polyester yarn production facility and all future investments,
  • All employees working within Güven Boya,
  • All stakeholders of Güven Boya, including suppliers, contractors, subcontractors, and personnel involved in contracts with other organizations.

Policy and Commitments

In our polyester (POY/FDY) yarn, polyester textured yarn, yarn twisting, and Masterbatch dye production activities:

  • Energy Efficiency and Performance: We establish Energy Performance Indicators (EnPI) for production capacity, processes, and supporting facilities; continuously review the Energy Baseline (EnB); and implement projects aimed at improving energy efficiency.
  • Sustainability: We aim to reduce energy consumption, lower greenhouse gas emissions, minimize environmental impacts, and ensure continuous improvement. Relevant KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) are defined, regularly reported to senior management, and monitored accordingly.
  • Innovative Technologies: We support the use of energy-saving technologies and renewable energy sources and consider energy efficiency as a key criterion in R&D and modernization projects. As a newly established company, our approach of selecting all equipment based on the latest technology is rooted in this principle.
  • Legal and Other Requirements: We commit to full compliance with all applicable energy-related requirements, including national legislation, international standards, customer requirements, and sectoral obligations.
  • Participation and Awareness: Senior management commits to providing the necessary financial, technical, and human resources to achieve the objectives of the energy management system. We also raise employee awareness regarding energy efficiency and encourage their active participation through suggestion mechanisms.
  • Energy-Efficient Procurement and Design: We prioritize energy efficiency in the procurement of new machinery, equipment, and services, and implement designs that support energy efficiency in our production processes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication: Our energy policy is communicated to all employees, made understandable, and made accessible to relevant interested parties. Training programs are organized to increase employee awareness of energy efficiency.
  • Continuous Improvement: We evaluate the performance of the energy management system during Management Review meetings and through regular assessments of maintenance and production processes, and we provide the necessary resources for continuous improvement.

This policy is implemented by all our employees, is open to relevant interested parties, and forms an integral part of our organization’s sustainable production vision.
